Has anyone else gotten such a note from him? i.e., maybe someone has
subscribed an address that aliases over to his email address, and he's
got an autoresponder that squeals about every post that he gets.
Any system administrator even remotely close to being competent should
be able to determine that in a few seconds of SMTP header examination.
Assuming that he's somehow on the list, I wonder how there's enough
clue there to set up an autoresponder if there isn't enough clue to
read headers and solve the problem.

If he did, that should also show up in the DejaNews archive, unless
his email address was nowhere in the spam.
