Distilling Hettinga's comments on DES seems to reveal a desire for
avulsion of credibility from the hands of government for reliable
encryption standards for industrial use, thereby, weakening the state's
claim for controlling it via limitations and, further, to reveal the
state's disingenuous assertions of fighting crime as its premise. There
seems to be a certain glee in his remarks.
