Anyone can patent anything. Crypto++ is OK as far as anyone knows.

My Crypto Kong library at http://www.jim.com/jamesd/kong/source.htm is OK
also. However the accompanying VB code is not necessarily patent free.

ECDSS should be OK, since those innumerable folk who claim patents against
DSS are not suing, merely threatening and blustering, despite the fact that
everyone is ignoring them.
