Greg, wburton, and others have been complaining about spam:

And what good do you think legal recourse is going to do? (Me, I do
not want legal interference in the workings of the Internet..., spam
laws could for example make remailers illegal).
If one of you who considers the low volume of spam to the CodherPlunks
list such a problem that you want to *do something about it*, then why
don't you run a filtered version of CodherPlunks, where you manually
strip out the spam.
If you haven't got the energy to do it, then clearly it is easier for
you to press the delete key! And also I sumbit, you have no leg to
stand on in demanding that `others do something about it'. If you
want to do something about it, do it, or offer to fund others to do
it, and get a spam filtered list version going.
Personally, the minute about of spam we get here doesn't bother me in
the slightest, and y'all have just created more uninteresting traffic
volume with this discussion than the spam over the last month or so.
