please add a request for this enhancement to
http://bugzilla.gnome.org

please give lots of examples and if someone is interested (or has time)
they might add them

it would be great if you were willing to draw the necessary shapes and
submit them to be added to dia.  see the faq on the website about adding
additional shapes.

there have been lots of discussions on the list about plugins and python,
i think someone might have compiled a reference from it, a quick search of
the archive should turn up useful information (link to archive at bottom
of every email).
