Much better: 
	export from dia to eps
	convert eps to (e)pdf
	
	include either eps or (e)pdf into the document (eps if latex, (e)pdf
if pdflatex. OO should do either format or be fixed: converting to bitmaps
for a printed document sucks).

FWIW, dia is able to make png by itself (though I almost never use the
feature) ; converting from eps to png can be scripted through netpbm

Bonobo integration in dia is spotty at best, and totally unready for prime
time.
