For many sites in the second class (e.g. NYT pages) user=cypherpunks
and password=cypherpunks or password=writecode will work. I'm always
pleased when I hit another site for which someone has already signed
us up. I'm reminded of the good old days when anybody could log onto
MIT's system through RMS's account (I think it was) (with his blanket
permission, of course) to do whatever they needed to do. I ran MACSYMA
on that machine in the 70's to do some math for my dissertation. I
never heard of any abuse of that privilege. Autres temps, autres mores.
