Cryptix has written an implementation of RPK in java. It was
contracted and paid for by the RPK company in NZ, and they now
own it. The implementation works with the JCE architecture
from Sun (and implemented in Cryptix).
It is RPK's current intention to publish this Java source,
and pending discussions about the precise licence, this will
probably be done as part of the Cryptix distribution. Once
that happens, you'll be able to inspect the algorithm at
leisure.

I don't know anything about the algorithm, we just did
the hackers-for-hire work for them. In general, Cryptix
Development Team doesn't comment on the algorithm, we
hope that cryptographers here and elsewhere will do that
for us. I believe they have commissioned some third party
analysies which are no doubt reported on their site.
