The connectors cost more than that, let alone embedding it in epoxy.
How about an amplifier kit for $25?
There are lots of cheap RNG's, none of which seem to have passed things
like DIEHARD. Good shielding to prevent external contamination is also
expensive. Either you missed a smiley or the connection between
technical know-how and cost of a product escaped your education.
As I'm in the process of writing up a do-it-yourself description of how
to build an RNG that does pass DIEHARD, I'll let others figure out how to
manufactur it. My bet is they won't bother, there's no way a home built
system can possibly come close to mass produced products. Untill you
reach the 100,000 mark you just can't get the costs of manufacturing down
nor can you afford to tool up fancy injection molded plastics. If it
don't look cool, it won't sell.
If there was a way to turn all the hours I've spent creating a working
RNG that actually does pass DIEHARD into cash, I'd realy like to know
about it. The number of people who understand that they need such a
thing is probably less than 1000 world wide. Maybe they could each use
10 RNG's, so you're up to 10,000 units world wide. No sensible business
person will deal with such a small market.
If I'm lucky I'll get past the referee's and you can learn the know how
yourself. Sorry for the rant, but you hit a nerve!
Patience, persistence, truth,
Dr. mike
