:> I am curious about those crypto persons in those positions not *directly*
:> under DoD contract. Like att research. Lots of good work coming out of
:> those folks: is that *also* an SCI environment? I.e., does the nature of
:> the work require SCI clearance, even if not "actively" doing DoD work?
:
:Now you see where I'm going. I expect that there are more and more
<SNIP>
:Any other comments?
Seeing where your'e headed is indeed easy, *but*, my original pondering
was left unanswered:
Does SCI, or for that matter *any* type of DoD clearance apply
to non-DoD crypto work done in such areas as Research.ATT.com? I know
I'm "harping" on this little point, but after all, this is *the* point
upon which you entire posture lives or dies...
How about it ATT folks? Anyone listening over there who's willing
to answer?

-- If Governments really want us to behave like civilized human beings, they should give serious consideration towards setting a better example: Ruling by force, rather than consensus; the unrestrained application of unjust laws (which the victim-populations were never allowed input on in the first place); the State policy of justice only for the rich and elected; the intentional abuse and occassionally destruction of entire populations merely to distract an already apathetic and numb electorate... This type of demogoguery must surely wipe out the fascist United States as surely as it wiped out the fascist Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.The views expressed here are mine, and NOT those of my employers, associates, or others. Besides, if it *were* the opinion of all of those people, I doubt there would be a problem to bitch about in the first place... --------------------------------------------------------------------
