Although the spam is not coming through the remailers, it would appear that
to address the spamming issue, it would be necessary to eliminate the
ability for the list to accept anon posts.

Actually, the latter of the two above options would afford a significantly
higher level of anonymity. If EVERYONE posting anon came from the same
place, then how would anyone be able to tell which person it was that
actually sent the post? It will also limit liability.
Just a thought.
