You're forgetting how powerful services become available to the
masses through the net. Any slob can search through all
the world's sequenced genomes; or review a terabytes worth
of satellite images or millions of patents.

Little sister doesn't need an EFF DES cracker of her own. She'll find
a URL where she can send your file and some expected plaintext,
and next day she'll get an email (complete with advertising for the
service, or the computer company that builds the things)
with the plaintext and key. If you used what were once "adequate" keys.
