As far as I know, some RS-232C chips (UARTs) work by dividing down
a master clock to get an appropriate bit-clock.
I need to be able to read serial data at a non-standard rate
of roughly 2700 bits per second, and the closest standard rate (2400 bps)
is not a good enough approximation.
Does anybody on this list know enough about standard PC UARTs to know
how to set an appropriate divide-by constant to achieve the desired bit rate?
thanks in advance,
Steven Cooper
