This has been modified since it was uploaded to the various FTP servers
a year or two ago. Small bug fixes, mostly for 16-bit environments.
The code compiles without warnings using gcc -Wall -pedantic, and the
test vectors from FIPS PUB 180-1 appear to work.
The code is still public domain. Enjoy.
