(1) I had heard about the postage stamp that could be printed
directly on the envelope by any graphics printer on a PC. That
was several months ago and, at the time, I had the impression
that the "cash" was stored in some form of digital purse on the
hard drive of the PC.

(2) In the cited web page, the picture and description is
consistent with the Dallas Semiconductor iButton that was
discussed here a week or so ago. Their home page is at
"http://www.ibutton.com/", and the page at
"https://www.cryptolink.com/ds/ibuttons.html#DS1963" has details
about the 5 iButtons that are now available.
