Export problem with eps-builtin

I've reported this problem in the past, but i lacked time to contribute
fixing it. Here it is again, now that I got more time available.
The following commands fails, with a graphical error message:
dia --export-to-format=eps-builtin schema.dia
LC_ALL=C dia --export-to-format=eps-builtin schema.dia
I'm running dia 0.93 and gnome 2.6 on mandrake cooker, with french
locales as default.
