basic problem

hi all,

I just installed latest stable version (0.86.1) of Dia,
and I have a very serious problem.

I cannot save a .dia file.
This makes Dia completely useless ;-).

I get a message that operation was unsuccesful.
No other details.


What should I do ?
Try the previous versions ?
Download from CVS ?

Or maybe I'm doing something wrong ...
