problem #2: it looks like intltoolize didn't run correctly.
Can you run it manually, checking its stdout and stderr, and see if it
produces the intltool-* scripts (in ".in" flavour) ?
Once you have the intltool-*.in scripts, re-run ./configure and check the
non-.in scripts are properly sed'ed out.
If that goes well, you should then have the necessary rules in
sheets/Makefile to build the .sheet files out of the .sheet.in files.
