Libart is currently only needed for PNG export.  I may need to improve the
handling when it's not there -- what is the message you get?

I can get the Chronogram line to crash Dia, but not the UML object.  Could
you file a bug report about this, please?

These are for debugging the text layout.  The CVS version is still in a
state of flux after the change to Gtk 2.0.
