My version of Dia that came with Mandrake 8.1.  Version 0.88.1  crashes 
'randomly', meaning that I haven't been able to determine exactly which 
situations it crashes with. All I did so far was to create a few rectangles 
and ovals and connect them.
I was going to wait to report this until I had some more relevant info for 
you.
