dia 0.88-1 export problem?

dear all,

i have been having some frustrating problems with dia going a bit unstable
after a while... producing "junk" files...

for example the file attched opens fine... but copying and pasting out of it
into a new dia window fails.

more to the point, export to eps "appears" to work... but using imagemagicks
convert :
	convert a.eps b.png
fails for the eps file created... something about no image delegate...

anyone i *did* try to fidn some info on the lists and web:
	* i tried changing the ridiculously large bounding box values in the eps tp
some smaller ones, similar
	  to files that did work... no luck
	* copy and paste bit out of the file sometimes fails... i tried to copy and
paste to a new window in
	  the hope that a new file window would cure the inconsistencies... but no
	* export to png directly fails more often than export to eps ...
	* export to other formats fails for the afflicted files (like the one
attached)...

i tried to compile dia-0.89 on this freebsd 4.4-release box but it fails...

other than that i've been very impressed with dia - as it "just works"...
(apart from this infuriating case!)
