There's but one thing I want to mention with regards to Bonoboing Dia: We
should think about how to make Dia embeddable in any Bonobo-aware program,
not just Gimp. Trying to get Dia diagrams embedded in Gnumeric would
probably be easier as a starting point, as Gnumeric already has Bonobo
support. At the same time, it would ensure that we don't make our Bonobo
implementation Gimp-specific. What I'd like to see is some standard
interface for simple embedding that would allow most things to embed into
most other things. Then we could have an interface of generic structured
diagram things, then an interface of dia-specific things.
The bottom line: Try to make it generally usable, rather than tied to
Dia-Gimp interaction.
