Darn!  You took my best idea!

Rather than trying to Win32ize it in a rush, since you've got cygwin going,
why not just set up an X server?  I haven't tried it myself, but it sure
looks ready if you believe the documentation:

"Cygwin/XFree86's development server has stabilized; Cygwin/XFree86 now
runs on Microsoft Windows 95 and later."

Certainly worth a go, I'd say.  Good luck with your demo in any case.
